DIRECT TO FILM TRANSFERS FORMULATED FOR STANDARD INDUSTRIAL WASH CYCLES.
UltraTranzTM Industrial garment and textile transfers are produced with water-based, eco-friendly inks and adhesives, formatted for exposure to standard industrial laundry processing. The adhesives can withstand higher temperature washing and drying formulations and cycles, not exceeding 390°F (200°C). These transfers are an ideal solution for embellishing uniform work shirts, uniform pants, coveralls, shop coats, lab coats, and uniform polo shirts made with cotton, poly-cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics. These transfers should not be applied to garments that are susceptible to dye-migration, and garments that are treated with waterproof coatings. For garments that must be washed with bleach, it is recommended that transfers be tested first, as some formulations may be more aggressive than others.
The transfers are constructed through a series of hybrid, direct to film (DTF) and screen-print techniques. Designs and images are printed directly onto clear transfer films using high resolution, seven colour digital printing systems. This platform allows for an almost unlimited range of solid, process, and gradient colours, as well as photo-realistic, vintage, distressed, and embroidered-look design elements. The transfer designs are then backed with a screen-printed opaque layer of white ink making the colours even more vibrant.
In a final phase, a layer of specially formulated adhesives is screen-printed to the back of the transfers, which when applied in under 20 seconds, maximizes the application bond, durability and longevity of the designs as compared to other types of commercial transfers, and direct silkscreen. The transfers are flexible, can be stretched, and will not crack or peel.
