Ordering Guidelines
After written approval of the artwork design has been received, all orders should be sent by fax or email to your customer service representative for processing. Customers who have not been assigned terms are required to pre-pay for all orders.
There are typically no artwork or set-up fees for most common products, however there may be some set-up and design fees for PVC Emblems, Direct Embroidery and QwikTranzTM Transfers. Please refer to the individual TekSpec® for each product to be certain.
Yes, it is Emblemtek’s policy to always request artwork approval prior to production.
Yes, customers wishing to supply their own fabrics or threads may do so for orders greater than 500 pieces. Charges may apply.
For complete order cancellation, customers will be responsible for the costs associated with any partial or completed work in progress and/or raw materials that have already gone into the order at the time of cancellation. As those costs are calculated, customers will always have the option to continue with the cancellation process or to complete the order as originally planned.

Artwork / Design
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure they have all the required rights to use, copy, transmit, modify and/or reproduce licensed or un-licensed logos, designs, emblems, graphics, electronic data, physical samples or other intellectual property provided to Emblemtek for the creation of artwork, emblems, embroidery, transfers or imprinted images. The purchaser will assume all liability and/or legal responsibility for any infringements and/or damages that may arise from such use. Unless paid for, the designs and/or file formats created for production purposes will remain the property of Emblemtek for resale to the purchaser. Emblemtek reserves the right to refuse designs based on their propriety. Images, texts and formats that illustrate racist themes, promote hatred towards others, or are otherwise deemed to be offensive, rude or vulgar, may be be rejected.

Preferred file types can be saved in .ai .eps . pdf .jpg .png or .cdr formats. Please refer to the individual TekSpec® of each product for a complete list.
Some products are better suited for designs with small text and fine detail. In embroidery, some small details may be lost or altered and text may be changed or simplified. For designs with lots of small text or details SubliPrint or woven may be a viable alternative.
Most products have fabric and thread charts available, however there are products where colours can be referenced from the Pantone® matching system. Colour Charts
We do not offer any type of graphic file other than the files sent for artwork approval. If you have ordered an embroidered crest, a copy of the DST file is available for a nominal fee.
Yes, as long as the resolution and quality is high enough.
Display colours vs print colours may differ for a lot of reasons. Most notably display colours use an RGB (red, green, blue) colour model while the clear majority of printers use CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). Further to this, every monitor displays colours differently and can be significantly affected by external factors such as brightness, contrast, saturation, colour effects etc…
Colour charts are available for accurate colour representation.
Payment and Pricing
Embroidery coverage is a representation of the amount of embroidered area within an embroidered emblem design. Coverage is relative to the amount embroidered versus the areas not embroidered. For example, if 25% of the base emblem fabric is visible, then the emblem has 75% embroidery coverage. An emblem that is completely embroidered, with no fabric showing, would be 100% embroidered.
We offer individual text name emblems, ideal for front chest application. These emblems can be embroidered or sublimated with a standard font in block or script letter and numbers. There is no minimum for this type of emblem.
