Beyond manufacturing and product quality, packaging formats and shipping services are two key elements within the order completion cycle. Emblemtek balances product packaging configurations with environmental and marketing goals, to reduce materials consumption and to allow customers to reuse or recycle brand-free packaging and shipping components. Simultaneously, it is important that orders and products are shipped and delivered in a timely and cost effective framework, while maintaining customer schedules. Emblemtek works with primary and secondary courier and shipping providers, and offers a range of services, such as multiple-location shipping, supplier or end-user drop-shipping, or end-user blind-shipping. Customers interested in these features and services can contact their dedicated Sales Development or Customer Service Representative.
Product Packaging and Shipping
Custom emblems, text emblems and emblem blanks are usually gathered in bundles of 25, 50 or 100 units, and are generally packaged in clear PVC bags. Emblemtek’s Production Teams try to use the least number of bags and other packaging materials as possible, to reduce waste and to keep in line with environmental goals. Assembled orders are usually packaged in courier provided envelopes or boxes, or in plain shipping cartons, relative to order size. Aside from the waybill or addressing sticker, there are no other references to Emblemtek on the packaging or shipping materials, allowing customers to distribute products in brand-free containers. The reuse and recycling of all shipping supplies is strongly encouraged, wherever possible.
Emblemtek can provide various logistical shipping services on an order by order basis, such as multiple-location shipping, supplier or end-user drop-shipping, or end-user blind-shipping. These services apply to both emblems and transfers, as well as stock items and embellished garments. Similarly, with advance notice, Emblemtek is able to receive goods from customers or suppliers, such as raw materials, or garments for embroidery, screen-printing or emblem application services. Where applicable, all handling and shipping fees will be assessed and billed on a case by case basis.
Emblemtek’s primary courier provider is currently UPS®, with a majority of the daily shipping volume being sent across Canada or into the United States using one of the select UPS® Express® service levels offered. Most shipments are sent to customers on Emblemtek’s account in a pre-paid and billed format (Bill Sender), where service, fuel-surcharge and insurance fees are added to orders at time of invoicing. Unless otherwise specified, Emblemtek will choose a level of service that best averages time-in-transit with cost, based on destination. However, customers can opt for a specific service level for all shipments or for an individual order, and may also request specialized services if available in their area, such as early morning or Saturday delivery.
Alternatively, customers can choose to have orders sent on their courier accounts (Bill Receiver), using UPS®, FedEx®, Purolator™, Loomis Express, Dicom Express or DHL Express™. It is important to note that courier rates and fuel-surcharges do fluctuate, and may impact future service costs. For international shipments, customers or end-user receivers will be responsible for applicable brokerage, taxation and tariff fees, unless otherwise specified. Emblemtek will not be responsible for any delays, damages or losses should they occur when shipments are sent on customers’ accounts.
As an alternative to the international, national and regional courier providers available, customers may choose to have their orders shipped by Canada Post using Regular Mail, Expedited Parcel™ or Xpresspost™ service options. These methods vary in cost and have different time-in-transit schedules relative to shipment weight and destination. The services provided by Canada Post may be a more suitable choice based on shipment size, order value or geographical region. Service, fuel-surcharge and insurance fees will be pre-paid by Emblemtek (Sender), and will be added to orders at time of invoicing.

Heavy-weight and/or large shipments (multiple pieces, pallets, crates…) will most likely be shipped via transport (less-than-load LTL), since all courier providers have weight and dimensional limitations in place. In these cases, Emblemtek can make all the necessary planning and pick-up bookings using a transporter of choice, or customers can make their own arrangements. Transportation, handling, insurance and service fees may be billed separately, as these amounts are sometimes not known at the time of order invoicing. Emblemtek will not be responsible for any delays, damages or losses should they occur through the transport process.
